The African Artisan

Each piece of our ceramic service ware range is artisanally made with the utmost love and care. Due to the handmade nature of our products, each piece is unique with no two pieces ever being the same.  Herein lies the true beauty of the handmade product, its perfect imperfections!  These should be celebrated as a testament to the love and hard work that go into making something so incredibly beautiful. Our handmade products are an alternative to mass produced ceramic design. Please remember our pieces are handmade in Africa. However, if you have any problems with, or change your mind about a purchase, the following policies apply:

Damage or Incomplete Orders

We carefully inspect your order prior to shipment. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any problems within 5 working days by emailing our customer service team on customercare@theafricanartisan.com. We will then advise you on the process from there on in.

Returns and Refunds

We want you to love what you have bought from The African Artisan and if for any reason you are not happy with any part of your purchase please notify the customer care team by email on returns@theafricanartisan.com before you ship your product. Purchases must be returned within 14 days.

All returns are to be sent to the following address;

Please supply us with your invoice number and reason for your return. All returns are for your own account. Please ensure you obtain proof of postage. All items are to be returned unused and in their original packaging.  Returns to The African Artisan are for the cost of the customer unless the goods were received damaged. If the goods were received damaged and the returns policy was followed the full shipping costs will be refunded to the customer.  If new goods are dispatched then sending cost will remain as normal but the damaged goods return cost will be refunded in full to the customer.

Once we have received the product(s) back from you, you will be sent email confirmation thereof.

We will gladly replace your purchase in case of damaged goods or in case of unavailability we will refund your purchase. Please allow 14 days for the money to appear in your account.
